Acceptance
By using Talus Cloud you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Talus Cloud is operated by Talus Cloud ehf, Reykjavík, Iceland.
Beta software
Talus Cloud is in active beta. Features may change, break, or be removed, and data may occasionally be affected during development. Do not rely on it as your only tool for anything safety-critical.
Outdoor risk and your safety
Hiking and the backcountry carry real risk. Talus Cloud is an aid, not a guarantee. Maps, routes, weather, daylight, and observer features can be wrong, delayed, or unavailable, especially where there is no signal or when a device loses power. You are responsible for your own safety: carry proper equipment, check conditions, tell someone your plan, and turn back when you should. Never depend on the app alone to keep you safe.
Acceptable use
Use Talus Cloud lawfully and respectfully. Do not misuse other people's data, upload unlawful or harmful content, attempt to break or overload the service, or use it to endanger anyone. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or other users.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, routes, stories, and other content you create. You grant Talus Cloud the permission needed to store, sync, and show that content to the audiences you choose, so the app can work. You are responsible for the content you share and who you share it with.
Your account
You can delete your account and data at any time, in the app at Settings → Delete account or on the web at talus.cloud/delete-account. How your data is handled is described in the privacy policy.
Disclaimers and liability
Talus Cloud is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Talus Cloud ehf is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from use of the app, including reliance on its maps, routes, weather, or safety features. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Iceland.
